Buscador de programas de televisión
El mundo de los buscadores está moviéndose mucho. Ayer salió a la luz Yahoo Video Search, que permite la búsqueda de vídeos almacenados en Internet (¿alguien quiere ver el gol de Ronaldinho en el Mundial 2002 contra Inglaterra?
Pues bien, hoy Blinkx ha lanzado una página web de búsqueda de programas de televisión y radio, llamada Blinkx TV. Google había ya anunciado que está investigando la búsqueda de programas de televisión, utilizando para ello los subtítulos del programa (en EEUU todos los programas, incluso aquellos que son en directo, están obligatoriamente subtitulados). Blinkx ha ido más allá, y en lugar de esa técnica ha utilizado otra consistente en capturar las emisiones de los programas de televisión y utilizar un software de reconocimiento de voz para obtener el texto de dichos programas. Una vez obtenido el texto, el buscador busca en ese texto y devuelve un enlace a ese vídeo.
La base de datos de Blinkx contiene más de 47.000 horas de contenido de cadenas como Fox News, CNN, ESP, Sky News o NPR (National Public Radio). Desgraciadamente todavía no tienen ningún canal español. Hasto que lo hagan, utilizad esta web si queréis consultar la programación de televisión en España.
